From 1 July 2023, the early childhood approach changed to include children younger than 9.

This change is being rolled out over the next 2 years. Children younger than 6 do not need a diagnosis to get support through the early childhood approach where there are concerns about their development. The early childhood approach was developed based on evidence- based research with the help of leading experts in early childhood intervention. (adapted from the NDIS website)

At St Anne's we want to help families to learn from their children's challenges and tackle these concerns as early as possible. We will respect your values, interest and preferences. We would like to get Educators out to your children to support them in their own environment. These educators will come in and work out what techniques and activities will help children with their daily needs.

The persons that will come out to you are not support workers, or therapist but, they will be Educator, who will be focus on your child's priorities. we will provide strategies that you can use in your daily setting or we can come out to you to help you with those needs. They will help you with your concerns regarding your children's well being under the Early intervention programme.
