Asperger's syndrome/ Autism Spectrum Disorder

Asperger's syndrome is a developmental disability that affects how people behave, understand the world, and interact with others. They have very specific interests to the point they are obsessed with what they do. They have repetitive patterns of behavior, which makes it hard for them to communicate and interact with others. Many of them find it hard to follow social rules or understand cues, and they also find it hard to understand the emotions of others. It is important to understand that every person with this disorder is different, and will have Different strengths and challenges. They cannot be placed under one umbrella. Hence, people with these conditions are normally referred to as being 'on a spectrum'.

These people prefer rigid routines; disrupting this routine can cause them anxiety and frustration. They focus intensely on topics that fascinate them and will talk rapidly about those topics.Some of them are sensitive to bright lights and loud noises.

People or children diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome have been diagnosed as having a high-functioning form of autism spectrum disorder, and there is no separate diagnosis for Asperger's syndrome. Despite having good cognitive and communication skills, people with autism spectrum disorder may still experience difficulties with communication and social interaction.
